What I Learned From Blog and Blogging

From my blogging – I learned how to show respect and love to my host country: Saudi Arabia. I learned how to differentiate job and business and other opportunities. I learned that writing is a medium to tell the world what I know and what I love. I learned how to care my personal health and how to manage them.

From the time I started sharing my blog articles, there were about 17 articles I had written about Saudi Arabia that includes my personal experiences in the Kingdom. I learned that immigrants will live with peace in mind and without fear through appreciation and understandings with their cultures and abiding the laws regulated in the Kingdom are the most important things to consider aside from its beautiful history.

To write them was really a big challenge. I had interviewed some Saudis and other immigrants for information. I had used encyclopedias for more information about the country, its people, its culture, tradition and about the law regulated in the Kingdom. So far, I had written 9 articles about business and other business opportunities.

From those articles I learned that job is only temporary. When an employee became incapacitated, he loses his job. His job cannot be transferred to his loved ones. There’s no financial freedom in job. He has no freedom to enjoy and has a very limited growth. I even said that there is nothing wrong to learn other things – even though a person is on his job when he can use it someday or after he retired from his job.

To Get Thousands Views a Day Use Your Blog Sites

Blog sites help attract crawlers and visitors to view your articles published at other publishing sites. By sharing them to your blog sites will help boost traffics and views to your article pages as well to the websites that published them. This method is common but you can change your approach in a different way which is legal and no spamming.

Remember that we, writers are also considered as businessmen. Our products are in the form of articles, photos and videos and other awesome stuff that we always love to share to other net surfers across the Internet. Normally we always give enough time to create them before we can offer them to some paying sites. And when they are accepted for publication, our next move is not only to sit down but to promote them. We applied different methods to bring them out and reach people across the net.

The usual methods that we applied for promotion are usually by sending them out through the following media tools such as:

• Through YouTube
• Through Social Networks
• Through Other Book Marking Sites
• Through The basic way – by sending them through Emails
• Through Forum Groups and other Internet Groups
• Through by Sending them out to different search engines
• Through by Sending them to our families, relatives and friends

Believe it or not, to promote our products are also as hard and difficult as when we created them. It also takes times to determine what method we will use. Last December 26, 2011, it took me almost a day to layout my plan. Yes. I applied the common way – to share them out to my blog sites. First, I done the inventory of all my published articles at Wikinut – there are about two hundred of them. And then I applied re-grouping the articles by category. And then I wrote an article about them where all the two hundred articles were included – a summary of article titles at which I inserted each valid URL links of the articles published at Wikinut. Then I posted the article to all my blog sites.

The Easy Way to Create a Blog

Through blog you can create network of visual friends. Blog can be your storefront of all the things you loved to share across the Internet. Blog is very helpful for your writing hobby, for your business and for socializing to people around the world. And to create a blog at blogger, the steps are easy as 123.

Blogger has made some changes on their blog platform. Some of the helping tools or the blogger widgets to enhance a blog site were already deleted. However, anyone can still create a blog on their site. For those who would like to create a blog at blogger – there are eight steps to follow such as:

• Open the site http://www.blogger.com in your Internet browser.
• Click the “CREATE A BLOG” button.
• On the following page you’ll be prompted to create a Google Account (if no Google account yet).
• Once you’re done with Account, click the “Create a blog” link.
• Enter a Title for your blog (any title you liked).
• Enter Address (URL) of your blog - you can use the title of your blog.
• And then type the word in the verification section and click “CONTINUE”.
• On the next step choose a template, which you like most.

You see, in eight steps you created your blog site successfully. Now to see that your blog is really a blog write and publish your first blog article – go to:

• Click the “START BLOGGING” button.
• Click the “Compose” link to switch to text mode.
• In the Title box enter (the title of your first blog article)
• Then enter few sentences about you, who you are, what you are doing, what country you live, about your family and friends.
• On the next line type your unique signature (it either a name, text words or whatever you like) on your chosen signature you can link the URL link of your business website or other links of the websites you are writing with or your other personal blog site.
• Then select this signature and press the “Link” button found at the upper part of the editor compose section.
• In the “URL” box enter the following address you have chosen for your signature: and click the “OK” button.
• Add labels or tags about your first blog article.
• Now your blog is ready. Click the “PUBLISH POST” button.

After you composed and published your first blog article immediately share your blog site to search engines. And for those who have already maintaining blog sites from the different hosting sites – you can submit those blog sites to the following search engines too for traffics and views:

Blog Helps Develop Your Skills

Blog is defines as a Web site containing the writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other Web sites. And from Blogging we can acquire new knowledge or skill. Before you can write and publish your first blog article from the idea that is knocking in your head - you need to look around for information to support your idea whatever it is.

I still remember I started my blogging hobby five years ago at Word Press. My blog was intended only for limited audience. Mostly of my published blog articles there were based from my personal experiences. However, after those two long years on blogging, I focused on writing blog articles intended to general audience. From that time on blogging had become my favorite hobby.

In one day, I could write and published at least one to two blog articles to share to people across the Internet. Also I started to look around for ideas. I started to love scanning the pages of English dictionaries and Encyclopedias, newspapers, tabloids, magazines and other reading materials for information and to help correct my English grammar because English was not my language. My mother tongue is Filipino Tag-alog.

Now I can say that Blog is really a place where to acquire new knowledge and skills. When you start your blogging hobby first you have to create a blog by following some simple steps. At least there are eight steps I considered the easiest way to create a blog. I will share them here on my next article.

Dynamic Views Template Increases Page Views and Page Earnings

According to blogger – Dynamic Views is the newest designed template intended for all blogger users. It is found with the older templates in every dashboard under the Template Designer section. If you decided to apply Dynamic Views, you have to click on the Template tab. In the Template Designer, select a default view for your blog from one of the seven available views. Setting a default view will establish the type of Dynamic View your blog will display when a reader visits it. For more details about Dynamic Views check out the link: Google Support Blogger.

If you are blogger users – you can now configure your blogs to display Dynamic Views and select a default view that best displays the type of posts on your blogs. Dynamic Views make it easier to read your favorite blogs. They make it easy to discover posts written long ago that you and your visitors may not have read.

Blogger assured that if you have customized your blog and wish to experiment with Dynamic Views, you can rest assured that your gadgets and other custom settings used before are preserved and will be restored if you switch back to a traditional template. And if you would like to revert to your previous template with all the layout customizations intact, just click revert to previous template.

However, Dynamic Views will work only on your blog if the following are true:

• Your blog is public.
• Your readers do not need to sign in to view your blog.
• Your blog has feeds fully enabled.

Blogger also assured that Dynamic Views will continue to support any AdSense ads that you have hosted on your blog. If a reader clicks on 10 posts, you’ll see those clicks recorded as 10 pageviews. In a traditional Blogger template, if a reader enters your blog once, they can scroll through ten blog posts in a single pageview. So while it may appear that traffic to your blog has increased, it’s more likely that Blogger is simply recording more accurate data about your blog than was possible in the past.

How to Turn Your Blog Into Audio

In some surveys, it is said that some visitors do not like to read articles published on blog sites instead, they like to listen them through MP3 or an Audio. Not long ago, I found the site that will help bloggers to turn their blogs into Audio. And this is free to sign up.

Before signing up, a blogger will see to it that all articles he published on his blog site are written in English language and he should confirm that he is the legal owner of the blog site. After that he can now proceed to register by telling Odiogo a bit about himself and his blog site by filling out the form with his approval that he is allowing the site to convert his blog site contents to MP3 or to Audio and then submit.

There are only two requirements needed to register with the site – they are:

• The URL of his blog site
• His email address

Then next, he has to wait at least one minute and he will receive a reply with instructions that he can now add the Odiogo Widget to his blog site. Ways to Test Your Blog Site

Your blog site is the storefront of your articles and other stuff. It is also a cool place where to share all of your published articles from the different websites you are writing with. Your blog site needs to attract readers and visitors in order to keep them coming back. For that reason you would have to pull up your blog site and ask yourself a few questions.

Normally, when I visit other blog sites I usually asked myself the following:

1. Where would my eyes go first?
2. Can I tell what the blog site is about?
3. Is the information found above the fold is really important?
4. Are there benefits to enjoy that are clearly highlighted on the homepage?
5. Is there a clear call to action or a way to communicate with the owner?
6. Are the colors and fonts used are distracting to the eyes?
7. Would I feel personally connected on this site?
8. Are there links found to other social media?

Based from the above questions – I found out that to create a blog site is not far as when writing an article. When you write an article first you have to focus on your article title. You might ask yourself the following: Is it catchy? Or is it an attention grabbing title? Would it attract visitors and readers to read the whole article? Man, it is the same with your blog title – you need to use a title that would attract people to visit your blog site.

Your blog site description is as the same when writing a summary of your article. Your summary is the overall layout of your article body. Your blog description tells the most important section and parts found on your site. It suggests visitors and readers what exactly your blog site is all about.

When writing your article body sometimes you include photos, videos and links. They are normal and very effective method. They help attract readers to read your article. They are part of the overall layout and presentation of your article. And much more if it is written with relevant contents. It is the same with your blog site. You need to include some attractions for your readers and visitors to stay longer.

Some blog sites I visited are equipped with some media tools like: Music videos, Movie videos, MP3s, Photo albums and some with podcasts. Others included Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Social networks and other links going to other websites where the blog site owner is also connected with. Others included chat rooms where the visitors and readers can leave their messages or to chat other visitors.

In a survey – it is found that not all visitors like to read articles published on a site instead, they like listening articles on podcasts, watching music videos and movies, listening MP3 music or scanning the photo album pages to spot unique and awesome photos.

It is not yet too late - once you determine a few areas where you can improve, develop a plan to start implementing changes on your blog site. You don’t have to do them all at once – just do a few at a time until you have a blog site that really attractive to visitors and readers. And if your visitors and readers stay on your site at least 5 minutes long you are lucky and they will keep coming back. 

I Am Blogging Not Only for Money But Also for Love

For the past three years that I am enjoying my blogging hobby with wordpress, as a free user, this is my first time to receive such crunchy greetings from wordpress team, reads "We think you did great!"

I cannot deny that I am happy to receiving such beautiful greetings from them. Blogging with wordpress is really a wonderful experience. Many times I was suspended and banned from using wordpress blog because I had broken some of their guidelines though still I love blogging and flying with them.

My 2010 year in blogging with wordpress, I got a high level summary of my overall blog health. From the Team Wordpress.com and Stats Helper Monkeys, I got the following data on how my blog has been doing.

Crunchy numbers - Their reports explain the following: The average container ship can carry about 4,500 containers. This blog was viewed about 15,000 times in 2010. If each view was a shipping container, your blog would have filled about 3 fully loaded ships.

In 2010, I wrote 84 new posts, growing the total archive of my blog to 202 posts. I uploaded 239 pictures, taking up a total of 7mb. That’s about 5 pictures per week. My busiest day of the year was January 21st with 427 views. The most popular post that day was DonDon on Deathrow.

The most viewed photo I uploaded with the poem nang-pumatak-ang-luha-nasulat-ay-tula

My top referring sites in 2010 were facebook.com, search.conduit.com, mail.yahoo.com, topblogs.com.ph, and tl.wordpress.com. Some visitors came searching, mostly for tula tungkol sa luha, mga manunulat ng tula, dxn, luha tula, and manunulat ng tula.

My Blog Attractions in 2010 - The following posts and pages that got the most views in 2010. (1) DonDon on Deathrow – January 2010 with 79 comments, (2) Manunulat ng Tula Nais Palaganapin ang  Wikang Pambansa -January 2009 with 8 comments, (3) Nang Pumatak Ang Luha, Nasulat Ay Tula– November 2008 with 4 comments, (4) Tutubing Lumipad sa Kulungan Napadpad – January 2010 with 25 comments and (5) NEGOSYONG WALANG LUGI with 4 comments.

 

Awesome Blog Means Awesome Views and Income

Before the end of 2010, my Triond profile page has recorded an additional 500 views. It ocurred during the month of December 2010. Now my views badge is already 1000. That is awesome for me as it has increased my Triond income!

December 31, 2010, my Triond views has reached to 124, it was my busiest day ever recorded compared to my previous days statistics at Triond. And out of 124 views, one of my articles published re New Year’s Day is Not Always January One received 102 views. My viewers came from the USA. This record is really awesome for me as a newbie. This means an increase of my Triond earnings.

Ang Manlilikha

During the month of December 2010, my articles have reached so far to the following countries: United States garnered 50% of viewers, Saudi Arabia 16% of viewers, India 10% of viewers, Philippines 7% of viewers, Canada 6% of viewers, Kuwait 6% of viewers and China 5% of total viewers.

And also during the month of December 2010, I notice that the referring sites are working together to bring traffics and views to my Triond articles pages. The number one referring site is www.triond.com, www.google.com, www.webupon.com, www.google.ca, www.scienceray.com, www.bizcovering.com, www.stumbleupon.com, www.google.co.in,http://angmanlilika.blogspot.com, and www.writinghood.com. I am happy looking at my blogsite (http://angmanlilikha.blogspot.com) as one of the referring sites recorded at Triond. Happy New Year to all!

For the past few years, I had become addicted with my blogging hobby. I even considered my blogsites as my second home. From them I established network of friends. Thanks to wordpress.com and blogger.com. This article will answer – why I addressed them as the two most promising hosting sites for blogging and for making money online.

Wordpress.com - It was opened to public on November 21, 2005 and it is powered by the open source of wordpress software. This site is financially supported through ugrades and the google adsense advertising. Last September 2010, wordpress has recorded 13.9 million individual blogs – some are free users and upgrade users.

Blogger.com - Has started in 2003. It is a blog publishing service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The blogs are hosted by Google at subdomains of blogspot.com. On May 1, 2010, Blogger allowed users to publish blogs on other hosts.

Both Accept Free Users - Its staff are working hard on enhancing each site – from designing of new and awesome templates, featuring new widgets and other features to satisfy the needs of its users. Both are accepting users as free account members though at least he/she is 13 year old and above. Below 13 is subject for parental guidance and can start to create a blog following its term of use and its site’s policy.

The Big Difference - At wordpress, if you are a free account member – you are entitled to post your best blog articles, photos, videos and share them to your friends and visitors though it depends if you created the blog either private – which is accessible only for people you invited or you created the blog intended for the general audience and international audience. And as a free user you are not allowed to share links of other sites, banners, google adsense, amazon and other imaginable affiliate programs – you will be automatically suspended unless you will upgrade your membership. When you upgrade, you will pay at least from 15$ above a year as your subscription fees.

While at blogger, everything you want to do is free – from posting blog articles, videos, photos, music, mp3s, podcast, google adsense, amazon, linking other sites, banners and other affiliate programs without charging you. And you can create many blogs if you wished. The more blogs you have created the more money you will earn from your google adsense.
