How True Facebook is Powerful than Google

Facebook popularity. Active users of Facebook ...

Image via Wikipedia

In early 2010, the In Sites Consulting has released a study on the result of a market research about Facebook when at that time Facebook has only more than 400 million registered users. Their findings are as follows:

  • 50% of their active users or equivalents to (200 million+) log-on to Facebook in any given day
  • More than 35 million users update their status each day
  • More than 60 million status updates posted each day
  • More than 3 billion photos uploaded to the site each month
  • More than 5 billion pieces of content such as web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc. shared each week
  • More than 3.5 million events created each month
  • More than 3 million active Pages on Facebook
  • More than 1.5 million local businesses have active Pages on Facebook
  • More than 20 million people become fans of Pages each day
  • And pages have created more than 5.3 billion fans

It includes also the average user figures such as:

  • Average user has 130 friends on the site
  • Average user sends 8 friend requests per month
  • Average user spends more than 55 minutes per day on Facebook
  • Average user clicks the Like button on 9 pieces of content each month
  • Average user writes 25 comments on Facebook content each month
  • Average user becomes a fan of 4 Pages each month
  • Average user is invited to 3 events per month
  • Average user is a member of 13 groups

I can say that the above findings of In Sites Consulting about Facebook were convincing because in the same year, on July 21, 2010 Facebook users have increased drastically to 500 million active users. According to Facebook history records its company figures from the time Facebook was launched on February 4, 2004, after 1,665 days Facebook users have reached to first 100 million users. The following records are as follows:

  • On August 26, 2008 after 1,665 days from the date Facebook was launched its users have reached to 100 million
  • After 225 days on April 8, 2009 Facebook users increased to 200 million
  • After 160 days on September 15, 2009 FB users increased to 300 million
  • After 143 days on February 5, 2010 FB users increased to 400 million
  • After 166 days on July 21, 2010 FB users increased to 500 million
  • After 168 days on January 5, 2011 FB users increased to 600 million
  • After 145 days on May 30, 2011 FB users increased to 700 million
  • And on September 22, 2011 FB users have increased to 800 million
  • And from September 23, 2011 to present FB users are still increasing every day

Now we can say that these are proof that Facebook has the potential to direct more online users than Google every single day. For that we should not ignore Facebook at all for our article sharing activities!

Will Google Will Keep Its Promise? Maybe, Maybe Not

English: Google Logo officially released on Ma...

Image via Wikipedia

Writers and other contributors of the websites are the individual content creators who worked together feeding contents for the sites. Now Google has started spotting, tracking and indexing acknowledgment of contents created by the individual content creators with the websites they appear on through listing the author’s link.

If Google stressed its plan both the websites and the individual content creators will enjoy the following benefits:

  • An individual content creator will be given a place for his contents separately in search results.
  • If the author’s page rank result is commendable, it can add potential points to the websites he is writing as well as to his authorship.
  • This plan will help highlight authors and rank search results and allows better ranking of good stuff.
  • Effective to spot people that plagiarized other works and those websites who published works with out the author’s permission.
  • And this plan will inspire and suggest authors to write articles with good quality contents for Google crawlers to come and bring more traffic and views.

So start now practicing using your username or pen name too as tag for your articles as it can also help trace sites that published your works without your permission and the people plagiarizing your articles across the Internet. If Google intensified its plan indexing individual content creators, mostly of the online writers and other contributors will be happy to be included.

The Effect of The Robust Dropkicks of Google Panda

google books

No matter how strong and powerful is Google Panda -Triond will always survive from its robust dropkicks. Triond's page rank is still substantial and awe-inspiring that all Triond writers should celebrate.

My attention was focused on Page Rank Checker. It is a free tool to check Google page ranking of any web site and blog site pages easily and to display its site’s Page Rank. The site is not affiliated with Google Inc., but it provides publically available information about page rank or values of the web sites or blog sites. What good about this page rank checker site is that you can install it free on your web sites or blog sites.

So I had used seven sites as my samples – five paying sites I am writing with: Allvoices, Bukisa, Factoidz, Triond and Wikinut and two blog sites that I am happily maintaining everyday: Ang Manlilikha and My Article Photo Blog.

Allvoices.com was not really affected when Google Panda was introduced. Allvoices is a site that caters both local and global news. The site concentrates on breaking news and current events that are happening around the world fed by its members/contributors from around the world. This site is under the category of News Web Sites which is favored by Google Panda. Its present page rank is still awesome of 6 from 10 possible points.

Bukisa.com a few months ago, some of us thought that the site was for closure. When Google Algorithm changes Bukisa suffered. However, Bukisa management worked hard to get back the trust of their members/ contributors. Its team agreed and decided to change some of its site policies mainly on posting article. In the present the page rank of Bukisa is 5 from 10 possible points. The site survives well against the threat of Google Panda.

Factoidz.com is a place to share knowledge. Share your expertise, meet other experts and earn passive income based on the quality of your participation. Its present page rank is down to 4 from 10 possible points compared to 7 from 10 possible points at the time when Google Panda was not yet active on kicking off poor quality content sites. This is showing that until now Factoidz is still suffering from the powerful dropkicks of Google Panda. Added there are numbers of negative complaints and feedbacks against the site from its own members/contributors.

Triond.com When Google introduced Google Panda, Triond was one of the many website publishers across the Internet affected. Mostly of us Triond writers were complaining why our views and earnings were notably decreasing in spite of our efforts and hard works – without realizing that Triond was ardently working hard to pacify the plague. And through consultation from its members/contributors the Flag button was materialized. Now some of us are using the flag button to report those stuffs as spam, adult content, plagiarism, insufficient quality and wrong category. I wish nobody will abuse it. Now the present page rank of Triond is 5 from 10 possible points which is two points a head of Wikinut and one point higher than Factoidz. No matter how strong and powerful is Google Panda -Triond will always survive from its robust dropkicks. Let us celebrate and stay tuned with triond.

Wikinut.com is an online publisher for the masses. You can write pages for Wikinut. They publish them online for a worldwide audience. As with many other websites Wikinut earns money by selling advertising space. For every article on their site they show targeted adverts. All the submitted articles are moderated by human moderators. Once people begin to read your content, any revenue generated by your adverts will be tracked by their system. You’ll then earn 50% of this revenue – and continue to receive these royalties for the lifetime of your article. At the present the site page rank increased to 3 from 10 possible points.

Ang Manlilikha was my first blog site I created at wordpress.com almost four years ago. This site caters all of my personal journals: poems in Filipino language and other articles I have written in English and Filipino languages. Now from personal blog site I exposed it to bigger and international audience. This site serves also as my landing page to share all of the articles I published at Triond and other paying sites. Ang Manlilikha also helps bring traffics to all the paying sites I am connected with. The present page rank is 3 from 10 possible points.

My Article Photo Blog is my newest blog site I created at Blogger.com from the idea How to Turn Article Text to Photo Blogging; a photo speaks a million words. This is also my other landing page where I shared mostly of my articles published from the different paying sites I am connected to. This blog also helps generate traffics and views to those web sites I am writing with. The present page rank is 2 from 10 possible points.

The Art of Sharing of Our Awesome Articles to Our Blog Sites

Image representing Blogger as depicted in Crun...

Published on Webupon, Mar 26, 2011 Category – Search Engines

There are many ways how we can share our awesome articles to our blog sites - either by sharing the whole context of the article, the URL link of the article or the RSS feeds of our articles from the paying sites we are contributing. A while ago, I found an interesting way to share my articles to my blog site and I would like to share it to others.

It is understood that the purpose of sharing of our articles to our blog sites is to get traffics and views and inviting visitors, networked of friends and readers to visit the site where our articles are published.

Recently, I created a new blog site My Article Photo Blog hosted by blogger. My purpose for this blog – this will showcase all my articles published at the different paying sites. This means I don’t need anymore to write article blog for my newly blog site instead, I will just use those published articles found at the different websites that published my articles through by sharing them to my blog site.

My blog site has some features like YouTube videos, audio and some links like Dictionary, Thesaurus, Translator, Encyclopedia and other interesting links plus Google ad sense and Amazon. I created it with love before submitting it to Google search engine, Bing, Yahoo, AOL and other search engines. Also I connected it to other giant social networks like Facebook, Twitter and many more.

This is now the thrill. You can share your articles published at Triond and other paying sites to your blog sites through a new method – by turning your articles into photo blogging. Remember a photo speaks a million words.

This is what you would do for your effective article sharing:

  • Look for a photo that will describe about your article.
  • There are free photos available in the Internet.
  • Do not use photo which is a copy righted.
  • You can find them at Wikipedia/Wikimedia under creative commons.
  • You can find them at Flickr owned by Yahoo under creative commons.
  • If there are no available photos on those sites – use your own photo collections.
  • Write a short summary about your article underneath the photo you used.
  • Include the URL link of the article below the summary for the “Full Story”.
  • Look at the photos I included with this article and examine them.
  • Visit My Article Photo Blog – to see what I am trying to tell you are true – to get an idea.

Article About Numbers Will Attract Heavy Traffics Too

Google X, alternate interface to Google search

Image via Wikipedia

Published on Webupon, Mar 16, 2011 Category – Search Engines

My article about numbers attract heavy traffics and still counting from the date it was published on March 6, 2011 and the tags I used here are just the common tags like - Alphabets, Life, Mathematics, Numerology, Paranormal, Society, Spirituality and Triond.

Out of 94 articles (excluding this one if approved) that are already published on the websites powered by Triond – this one has stood out. So far this article has generated total views of about 1,036 alone that started on the date of publication and still receiving views. Also it accumulated the highest earning points of 56$ cents compared to my other articles. This is something I could be proud of.

From this article, I learned many things like:

  • It is not necessarily to go out often from Triond just to look for ideas to write.
  • Great ideas can be found inside Triond alone.
  • Our own articles and our friends’ articles can suggest other great ideas too.
  • Our own dashboards, contents section including our profile pages are also sources of ideas to write.
  • Our friends’ list section can suggest many ideas to write too.

In addition, I also learned that it is not advisable to write a long article that ranges from 1,500 words and above in one article – instead, it is better to write it by parts or by series – as mostly of Internet surfers don’t spend a long time on reading for a long article. Mostly of them would only stay for at least 5 minutes on reading.

Choosing the best tags for our articles will help boost traffics. Now I enjoy googling first the tags on search engines like – let me Google that for you, Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines before applying them to my article.

The tags I used for my article about numbers have helped much to attract views. When I googled them I found the following:

  • AlphabetsGoogle search gave 7,390,000 results.
  • Life – Google search gave 4,730,000,000 results.
  • Mathematics – Google search gave 206,000,000 results.
  • Numerology – Google search gave 6,140,000 results.
  • Paranormal – Google search gave 69,600,000 results.
  • Society – Google search gave 567,000,000 results.
  • Spirituality – Google search gave 61,200,000 results.
  • Triond.com – Google search gave 2,850,000 results.

Also I learned that I should not just leave my article to SEO crawlers. The power of sharing to social networks, blog sites, egroups and forum groups, friends and to my email contacts is also helpful to attract traffics.

Usually you will receive communications from these yahoo spammers and hackers addressed to your spam section though some of them go to your mail box.

When you open your email in your yahoo mail box immediately investigate it. Look for the sender and the addressee. The heading of the email will tell you who is the sender with the word “from” and the addressee with the word “to”.

Yahoo spammers and hackers are using “Yahoo! Member Services “. Beware with these senders. They are not employees of yahoo. The yahoo member services employees will never send you email without using your yahoo email valid address.

Their email will look like this:

From: Yahoo! Member Services

To: (The sender did not write my yahoo email valid address here)

For Net surfers, bloggers, authors and other writers, "Let me google that for you" is a great help for anything that we want to search in the Internet.

This is awesome. Imagine if you are a blogger and presently writing an awesome article to be submitted to Triond and other paying sites, this search engine can help you check out if the title you used on your article has already used by other bloggers and writers and at the same time you can also check out and compare if the contents of your article are the same with those articles provided to you by “Let me Google that for you“.

The advantages about this tool – all what you want: information, photos, people references and many more are automatically be provided to you in few seconds. And it can prevent bloggers and writers to receive declined or rejected articles notices as well.

Imagine that – at least before you submit your article to Triond and other sites you are contributing, first you can revise it after you spotted some parts of the contents of your article that are found on those links provided to you by the site that are already used by other bloggers and writers.

This morning I tried – Let me Google that for you. I asked my name Paul Pruel on the site. The site has created a link for my name . And then by using the cursor, I pressed go found under the link of my name. And then Let me Google that for you retyped my question and in 0.17 seconds it provided the results of 18, 400 about Paul Pruel.

Seven Reasons Why an Article is Rejected

Wordmark of WebInfo.

Published on Webupon, Feb 9, 2011 Category – Search Engines

Before sending off an article for publication to a paying site, first you have to check that the content is unique before submitting it and it meets the policy of the site in order to avoid from decline or rejection.

Each paying site has its own policy to follow when submitting articles. From my experiences with those paying sites including Triond, I found the following reasons why an article is declined or rejected.

(1) Some of the paying sites do not accept articles which are not written on fact-based information. The articles must be based on documented facts and available research. Some of the paying sites do not accept personal views or opinions on issues also - your articles must be based on fact and information.

(2) Your article title should include some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) keywords. You must submit a title that includes at least two SEO keywords. SEO keywords are specific, non-general terms that highlight specific information within your article that are likely search terms people would use.

(3) Some paying sites do not accept articles with ambiguous title. Your article title must clearly and specifically convey the topic and content of your article. Titles posed as teasers or ambiguous questions are not acceptable.

(4) Some paying sites also don’t accept articles with overly personal tone in title or body. The article must be written in a neutral and non-personal tone. The use of first-person I, ’me’ or My is not acceptable. The use of exclamation points in titles is also not acceptable.

(5) Some of the paying sites do not accept duplicated content. They only publish original material that has not been published elsewhere on the Web. Repeated submissions of duplicated materials is not allowed and sometimes will result in account suspension or deletion.

(6) Some of the paying sites do not accept articles with promotional links. Promotional links are not allowed in the body of your articles.

(7) Lastly, some of the paying sites don’t accept articles that contain grammatical or spelling errors. You must submit writing that is free of grammatical and spelling errors.

What to Do to Increase Our Google Adsense Earnings?

Google AdSense

Image via Wikipedia

Published on Dec 14, 2010 Category - Search Engines

When an article is published to one of the websites powered by Triond, I saw around it are google adsense ads to click. I even asked myself – where does google adsense base their ads? This article will explain, how does google adsense work? How to increase our earnings from google adsense?

Where does google adsense base their ads? Before starting on writing article, mostly of us have to figure it out first the whole image of the subject. Mostly of us have imagined it as a living creature that we can touch, smell it and hold it and then we start writing down all the best descriptions about the subject matter. And after we finished it writing the article, we read it to spot errors and if it is necessary, we flesh it out again to make sure that the contents of the article are truly believable, readable, inspiring and can attract people to get read. We worked hard to get the best contents of the article that we are going to share to people out there with the best tags included on it. This is where Google Adsense based their ads to appear with the article published.

How does google adsense work? Once the article is published, it is now the job of Google Adsense Team to crawl down into the article page. The Google Adsense Team will work down to spot the whole contents of the article and will assign and determine what ads to click to appear with the article that are related with the article contents.

How we can increase our earnings from google adsense? If our target is to earn much money from google adsense at Triond aside from views, then let us not stop writing original and good article contents as google adsense team based their ads from the type of contents of the article we have written. However, aside from Triond we can also increase our google adsense earnings through creating more personal blogsites at wordpress and blogger. The more personal blogsites you created with your google adsense account being activated, the more google adsense earnings you will enjoy!

How Do Blogsites Attract Traffics to Your Pages

Published on Nov 8, 2010 Category - Search Engines

If you are a blogger at least you are maintaining blogsites – one, two or ten more blogsites everyday. Your blogsites are great help to bring traffics to your triond pages aside from twitter, facebook and other social networks. Your blogsites will help promote whatever article published at triond community and other sites you’re contributing.

Before I became a triond member, I already maintaining at least three blogsites at wordpress and six blogsites at blogger. My personal blogsites helped me much promoting my articles posted here at triond, at bukisa, at wikinut and at allvoices.

That moment I created my blogsites at wordpress and blogger – they were intended as personal blogsites only though the time I started sending contributions to other websites that pay, I reviewed my blogsites and had changed some of the contents that would attract an international audience, the titles and descriptions. Not only that, I also submitted them to some search engines such as yahoo search, google search, bing search, igoogle, google buzz and to networkedblogs at facebook.

The titles, tags and descriptions of my blogsites are also helpful to attract traffics and viewers. So I would have need to create an attractive blogsites. I included music, videos, mp3s, photos and other things attractive to the eyes of my visitors. And also turned my articles to mp3 too.

Every time I shared my published article from triond with a short summary of it and its URL link on my blogsites at You Love Cool Things Too, Fancy World, Health is Wealth, Hit–Daxen, Just Obey Boss, King of Herbs, Proud Pinoy, WellCome and at The Creator traffics flushed on those websites.
