The Royal Court said, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is in deep sorrow and grief as he officially announced about his brother and faithful Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who passed away at dawn, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 after suffering from an illness abroad.

According to media reports, the 86 year old Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud had been battling cancer for some years and had been seeking medical treatment in the United States since June 2011. He is thought to have died in a New York hospital at dawn on Saturday morning. The funeral prayer will be performed for the deceased after Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh on October 25, 2011.

Western sources claim that Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud known as Sultan Al-Khair was born in 1924. He was the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He served as the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Aviation. Prince Sultan was first in the Saudi line of succession. He was born in Riyadh. Now the former Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has gone but his memory is still alive in every hearts of those people from around the world he helped to hit their dreams come true from Pilots, Aviation Electricians, Aviation Mechanics, Aviation Computer Programmers and Operators down to Janitorial jobs – who maintain the safety, orderliness and cleanliness of the military bases in Kingdom.
