In early 2010, the In Sites Consulting has released a study on the result of a market research about Facebook when at that time Facebook has only more than 400 million registered users. Their findings are as follows:

• 50% of their active users or equivalents to (200 million+) log-on to Facebook in any given day
• More than 35 million users update their status each day
• More than 60 million status updates posted each day
• More than 3 billion photos uploaded to the site each month
• More than 5 billion pieces of content such as web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc. shared each week
• More than 3.5 million events created each month
• More than 3 million active Pages on Facebook
• More than 1.5 million local businesses have active Pages on Facebook
• More than 20 million people become fans of Pages each day
• And pages have created more than 5.3 billion fans

It includes also the average user figures such as:

• Average user has 130 friends on the site
• Average user sends 8 friend requests per month
• Average user spends more than 55 minutes per day on Facebook
• Average user clicks the Like button on 9 pieces of content each month
• Average user writes 25 comments on Facebook content each month
• Average user becomes a fan of 4 Pages each month
• Average user is invited to 3 events per month
• Average user is a member of 13 groups 

I can say that the above findings of In Sites Consulting about Facebook were convincing because in the same year, on July 21, 2010 Facebook users have increased drastically to 500 million active users. According to Facebook history records its company figures from the time Facebook was launched on February 4, 2004, after 1,665 days Facebook users have reached to first 100 million users. The following records are as follows:

• On August 26, 2008 after 1,665 days from the date Facebook was launched its users have reached to 100 million
• After 225 days on April 8, 2009 Facebook users increased to 200 million
• After 160 days on September 15, 2009 FB users increased to 300 million
• After 143 days on February 5, 2010 FB users increased to 400 million
• After 166 days on July 21, 2010 FB users increased to 500 million
• After 168 days on January 5, 2011 FB users increased to 600 million
• After 145 days on May 30, 2011 FB users increased to 700 million
• And on September 22, 2011 FB users have increased to 800 million
• And from September 23, 2011 to present FB users are still increasing every day

Now we can say that these are proof that Facebook has the potential to direct more online users than Google every single day. For that we should not ignore Facebook at all for our article sharing activities!

To Get Thousands Views a Day Use Your Blog Sites

Blog sites help attract crawlers and visitors to view your articles published at other publishing sites. By sharing them to your blog sites will help boost traffics and views to your article pages as well to the websites that published them. This method is common but you can change your approach in a different way which is legal and no spamming.

Remember that we, writers are also considered as businessmen. Our products are in the form of articles, photos and videos and other awesome stuff that we always love to share to other net surfers across the Internet. Normally we always give enough time to create them before we can offer them to some paying sites. And when they are accepted for publication, our next move is not only to sit down but to promote them. We applied different methods to bring them out and reach people across the net.

The usual methods that we applied for promotion are usually by sending them out through the following media tools such as:

• Through Forum Groups and other Internet Groups

Believe it or not, to promote our products are also as hard and difficult as when we created them. It also takes times to determine what method we will use. Last December 26, 2011, it took me almost a day to layout my plan. Yes. I applied the common way – to share them out to my blog sites. First, I done the inventory of all my published articles at Wikinut – there are about two hundred of them. And then I applied re-grouping the articles by category. And then I wrote an article about them where all the two hundred articles were included – a summary of article titles at which I inserted each valid URL links of the articles published at Wikinut. Then I posted the article to all my blog sites.

Twitter has been used for direct communication among social groups and organizations, with the use of hash tags used at the end of a tweet #edchat, which means the communication will be viewed by all users who follow the topic which refers to an ongoing chat among educators.

Twitter has been used for making TV more interactive and social which is referred to as the virtual water cooler or social television. Twitter has been used also to encourage people to watch live TV events, such as the Oscars, the Super Bowl and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Twitter has been used in many different industries and scenarios. It has been used to organize protests, sometimes referred to as Twitter Revolutions that include the 2011 Egyptian protests, 2010–2011 Tunisian protests, 2009–2010 Iranian election protests, and 2009 Moldova civil unrest. The service has also been used in emergencies and political campaigning.

If we will analyze how twitter is used we will arrive a conclusion that they are all leading and connecting to social networking in any directions. But why Twitter is insisting that it is not a social networking website?

Twitter explains the following “Yes. Twitter facilitates social networking, but it’s not a social networking website. In fact, Twitter works quite differently from social networks: when you accept friend requests on social networks, it usually means you appear in that person’s network and they appear in yours. Following on Twitter is different, because instead of indicating a mutual relationship, following is a one-way action that means you want to receive information, in the form of tweets, from someone, company, or organization. If an account seems interesting, you can follow that account and see their updates in your time line.”

According to Wikipedia there are about approximately nearly 300 million registered Twitter users now and still increasing everyday. Everyday between 75 to 80 million tweets Twitter receives and spread them out to the recipients. And the first tweeter message published on March 21, 2006 was “just setting up my twttr“ from Dorsey.

26,752,000 Filipinos FB Users are Recipients for Facebook Ban

Philippines have 26,752,000 Facebook users and still increasing everyday. Philippines garnered the number 8 position in the ranking of all Facebook statistics by country. The number one Facebook user is America. And out of 26,752,000 - 39% belong to Filipinos ages from 18-24 years old and 24% belong to Filipinos ages from 25-34 years old. And out of 26,752,000 Facebook users 48% of them are male users and 52% are female users. These recorded numbers of Facebook users are only from Philippines. There are still more than 10,000,000 Filipinos Facebook users who are presently living in foreign lands including myself. If Mark Zuckerberg is really decided to kick out these Filipino Facebook users from using Facebook, first he has to think twice before finalizing his decision as it is improper to punish everyone for the crime done by one or by some!

Whether it is True or not, the allegedly an online statement of Mark Suckerberg - the CEO of Facebook, which was released on November 16, 2011 at 9PM Pacific Time Zone has generated favorable traffics, views and hundreds of comments at Facebook site and on other blog sites across the Internet. His allegedly statement directly warned the Filipino Facebook users of Philippines to be banned from using Facebook - if they continue uploading pornography (photos, videos and other types) and sharing spam to the site!

Yesterday, the whole day, I used my time on net surfing to look for the original source of the said official statement of Mark Suckerberg. I had used all the possible search engines I knew but I was in vain. No-one of the search engines has guided me to the original source of Mark's statement. All of the published articles regarding the statement were all copied from a copied piece. I even penetrated Yahoo but they were all the same from a copied source. This morning, I visited Facebook hoping to see the original and official statement of Mark Suckerberg but there was no recorded official statement of his found there.

I quoted the allegedly statement of Mark Zuckerberg that says, "The porn attacks originated in the Philippines and are being published by Filipinos all over Facebook, our experts here at Facebook are doing everything they can to stop it from spreading any further (outside the Philippines) and to eliminate the porn and spam threat completely which have been causing other Facebook users ‘a hard time’. Filipinos should also be vigilant and report any spam links and pornographic materials. 41% of Facebook members around the world are aged 12-17 years old, we cannot them be exposed to this kinds of things through Facebook. If this continues and more spam keep being posted, we will have no choice but to ban Philippine users from using Facebook. We at Facebook will not tolerate outlandish behavior and indecency.'' Even if this is true or not - Mark has pointed out all the Filipinos in general.

According to some of Facebook platform policies, I quoted some that said, "You agree that you will not promote, or provide content referencing, facilitating, containing or using, the following:

• Content that is hateful, threatening, defamatory, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

However, Mark Zuckerberg's statement is admirable. He shows how he really cares the minor ones and other Facebook users because Pornography is not really for general viewing!

The Most Visited Site: Wikinut

Wikinut is not an advertising site, a news site or a social networking site. The site is just a plain friendly publishing site that accepts articles of different subject topics written by authors from around the world. Now Wikinut becomes the most visited site and had become one of the favorite sites for the hungry and thirsty search engines crawlers.

My heart beats faster to see the 907 views. My first feeling was I am speechless when I log-on at Wikinut this morning. Everyday when I visited Wikinut, the first thing I had to look at is my Wikinut Stats. Why? My daily views suggest many things such as:

1. How I can improve my writing capabilities?
2. How to write articles with relevant and quality contents?
3. What tools and methods I should use to help attract traffics?
4. What to do to get more views?
5. How to share my articles to other networks without spamming?

We all know that the life of every article that we published here are measured by views. Articles without views are nothing but dead – no matter how beautifully we wrote them. This morning my heart beats faster while looking at the 907 views that my article pages received – recorded on October 5, 2011. It was the highest views I received at Wikinut so far. I even considered them not normal – as my daily views from the start of 2011 range between 300 and 400 views.

I do not write and publish article at Wikinut everyday. Even though I do not write article at Wikinut everyday – my daily attendance is 100% perfect. One of the things I perform there are to explore down to some of my old published articles and prepare them to share to social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon and to Google+ site. I also visited other Wikinut writers pages. Sometimes I left comments on them but most of the time I just read them and before leaving their pages I had to choose at least one or two of their articles and shared them off to Twitter and Facebook.

An article about Taboo contents received 501 views that day. My previous article entitled How Far We Can Express of Our Freedom of Expression as Writers on Taboo Contents published at Wikinut on August 24, 2011 received 501 views last October 5, 2011. This is about the negative traditions, objects, or behaviors generally regarded as harmful to social welfare or something that is forbidden by a society as unacceptable or improper – a strong social prohibition relating to any area of human activity or social custom that is sacred and forbidden based on moral judgment and religious beliefs. And it is considered ill-favored or offensive by society.

Another two most viewed articles on October 5, 2011. One is about an important commodity and a popular beverage. The article entitled Is Coffee a Healthy Drink that contents anti-oxidants that are widely used as ingredients in dietary supplements and have been investigated for the prevention of diseases such as cancer, coronary heart disease and even altitude sickness. It was published at Wikinut on July 16, 2011. 

The other one was Will You Sell Your Tomorrow Through Credit Card. It was published at Wikinut on September 13, 2011. It said that Credit card when used at the right time can help you in emergency and if you don’t have medical insurance you will be accepted much faster in hospital if you have a valid credit card.

I am discovering ways to get more views. For the past few months, I found out that it is not enough to rely on the site that published my articles for traffics and views or to depend on sharing my articles to some social networks and other book marking sites including my personal blog sites. I found another effective way how to get more traffics and views. I focus on search engines also – I submitted my Wikinut Profile Link once a week the same what I am doing here at Triond to Bing, to Yahoo Bookmark and to Google news. These search engines are the root for views and traffics.

How to Maximize The Use of StumbleUpon

Now StumbleUpon has over 20 million stumblers using the site. It is a cool place and has potential to get more views and traffics for your articles. If one percent of the total stumblers viewed your articles pages they are equivalents to 200 thousands views. The site is a free web-browser extension which acts as an intelligent browsing tool for discovering and sharing websites and other awesome stuff across the Internet. So, there is no reason at all if you missed the opportunity. The site is open 24/7 waiting for your visits.

Aside from Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus - you can concentrate and maximize the use of StumbleUpon to get more views and traffics for your awesome articles and other stuff. There are two ways to share articles at StumbleUpon through the normal way and through a feature created by the site called Su.pr. Both are legal and safe to use.

At StumbleUpon, there are two different ways to share our awesome articles to other users such as:

• Share them through the normal way
• Share them through a feature called Su.pr

What is sharing the normal way? Sharing the normal way at StumbleUpon is all about sharing your articles links, blog sites links or websites links - where you are asked for the following justifications like:

What I mentioned above are what I have experienced. Both are effective ways to get more views and traffics to my articles. Of course, I am not insisting this to you to do the same what I have done but if ever you thought that it will work for you too then go ahead and this is my advice - Use both ways. They are all legal and without spamming. But use them responsibly.

Triond Views Versus Wikinut Views

I admit that Triond and Wikinut are my most loved paying sites among the six paying sites I am writing with - this includes Hubpage, Bukisa, Allvoices and ExpertsColumn. Triond and Wikinut are both showing some amazing views and traffics to my articles pages. Today I compared the two for views and traffics using the same article which was published on both sites and the result they are too far from each other.

The article I used for this experiment was about Ms. Nora Aunor – the Superstar of Philippine Movie and Entertainment Industry. At Triond the article was published on September 17, 2011 entitled The Superstar Nora Aunor is a History and a Living Library of Great Achievements. From the time it was published at Triond to date – it received a total of 499 views with earnings of 0.94 dollar cents. And this is the highest earner article so far out of the 210 articles I have published at Triond excluding this one if approved.

While at Wikinut the article about Ms. Nora Aunor was published on September 27, 2011 entitled Trivia About The Filipino Superstar Nora Aunor. From the time it was published at Wikinut to date – it received a total of 2,402 views with earnings of 0.120 British pounds. And this is the highest article earner so far out of the 170 articles I have published at Wikinut. At Wikinut I used some photos of La Aunor with some videos of her songs and her remarkable movies like Himala and Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo.

As a matter of fact, I used the same methods of sharing this article to people around the world through the use of social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon, Tumblr, Linkin, My Space, Live Messenger to my blog sites and sending them to search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and other book marking tools. Yes. The article published on both sites garnered an amazing views and traffics but one is less than the other. I just assumed that at Triond there are less Noranians while at Wikinut the Noranians are active with lots of love.

My normal daily views at Triond are between 80 to 120 views for the past six months. And one time my Triond page received 325 views on September 21, 2011. Those were my highest views ever recorded that my Triond page received from the date I started writing with this site on August 14, 2010. And the total views that my Triond page received to date has reached so far to 22, 009 views.

While my normal daily views at Wikinut from the start of January 2011 are between 300 to 400 views. And one time my Wikinut page received 2,429 views on October 10, 2011. Those were my highest views ever recorded that my Wikinut page received from the time I started writing with the site on July 28, 2010. And the total views that my Wikinut page received to date has reached so far to 123,520 views. Now I can say that Wikinut stays on top and yet no other sites break its views records!

Aside From Twitter and Facebook There is Twiends

Believe it or not at Triond community, the first to view, visit and read our published articles are our network of friends. They are there to support you as they also wanted you to support them by viewing and reading our published articles – no matter how good and brilliantly we wrote them. This article will explain how to get views and earn money.

So far I already established a network of friends at Triond. There are about forty-two of them and still counting. When they visited, read and commented my articles, the views are flushing in and helped increased my Triond income. In return, I also visited their profile pages, read their articles and left some comments.

Ways to get Views and Earn Money

(1) Visit your Triond friends pages. Read and comment their articles. In return, they will also visit your profile page. They will read your articles and even left some comments on them. Open your facebook account and look for netwrokedblogs. It can be done by typing the word netwrokedblogs in the search section or look down at your facebook profile photo, the networkedblogs feature is under it.

When you are already inside the networkedblogs section, at the upper right corner you will see “Register a Blog” click that section and you will be directed to inside that section to register your blog.

Then Fill up the registration form, first your Blog Name, under it you can add a tagline if you need to. Second write the URL, the link to the home page of the blog which is your Triond Author User’s link and then fill up the language section, topic section and write your blog descriptions and at the bottom click the next and you will be directed to the next page.

There you will be asked to write the URL Feed which is your Triond Subscribe Feed link and after filling up the URL Feed, in few seconds you will see that the first ten articles posted at your triond page are now visible. Then you will be asked again to click the “Pull Now” after clicking the “pull now” you will be advised to check your facebook profile page to see the published article. And then go back to your networkedblog to finalize the registration.

Then activate the “Syndication“ by clicking it. It is found at the right side of the blog page you created. That section will syndicate your article to send off to your facebook ads and pages, to your facebook community groups, to your facebook profile page, and to facebook news feed.

And lastly activate the twitter section found at the bottom of your blog. After clicking the twitter you will see your “Twitter Account” and you will be asked to allow facebook to connect to your twitter account. If you chose allow, then it is now the job of facebook to tweet your articles to twitter.

How to Deal with Spammers and Scammers Professionally

Everyday my mail boxes at hotmail, yahoo and Gmail are always full of unsolicited spam from people I do not know. Although they are spam or scams I don’t delete them. Instead, I saved them in a folder with marked spam.

We have to understand and even to accept it that spammers, scammers and other hoaxers are using internet and World Wide Web to look for victims. They are everywhere. Some of them are using forum groups and other e-groups, twitter and other social networks to spot for their next victims. And we should not be surprised also that anything we sent off to internet either they’re personally or privately posted, still they can be accessed by other net users through the power of search engine. I, myself had proven it.

Some of them are pretending as priests, nuns, lawyers, engineers, doctors, accountants, bank managers and other imaginable professions. Others used some remarkable people like Bill Gates, former President Clinton, President Barack Obama and even the present Pope.

Mostly of the information they are asking from their target victims are your full name, location address, age, profession, contact telephones and bank accounts. Some of them are pretending as yahoo staff customer service employees - asking you to update your account at yahoo for yahoo will delete your account if you failed to do so. Some of them are offering you to become their business partners.

How to stop them?  By deleting spam at your spam section could not stop them. Based from my experience and the method I used to stop them from sending unsolicited mails to my mail box, I faced them politely, friendly and professionally by replying them. When I read their messages, I could not identify its senders’ addresses but when I replied them, it was yahoo who helped me identified the senders’ emails addresses.

My reply reads “I am happy to receive your communication Mr. or Mrs. so and so, and I am interested and very willing to engage business with you. For the meantime visit this link (the link going to my blog article) it caters all the information you needed.” And before ending my email letter, I would write, “Also I would request you to deposit at least 100$ to my PayPal account. Better if you can send the money today to my PayPal account so that we can start our business early.” That method seemed very effective for me. It helped stopped them sending spam.

And the reason why I don’t delete spam – I considered them as mine of great ideas to write!
